How does the Free Week work?

Choose a class you'd like to try first and book it online. After your first class, you're welcome to try our other appropriate classes for the rest of your free week.

Which class should I start with?

You can start with any beginner-friendly class that fits your interests and schedule. If you're unsure, Adult Jiu Jitsu on Tuesday or Thursday at 6 PM is a great place to begin.

What should I wear to my first class?

For Jiu Jitsu, comfortable athletic clothing without zippers, jewelry, or metal is fine for your first visit. Some classes are taught in the gi; we'll let you know what you need when you arrive.

Do I have to spar on my first day?

No. Sparring is at your discretion, and new students generally aren't expected to spar during their first few weeks.

Am I too old or too out of shape to start?

No. You don't need to get in shape before beginning. Adults of different ages, fitness levels, and athletic backgrounds train at 570.

What ages are Kids Jiu Jitsu for?

Our Kids Jiu Jitsu program is for ages 5–12, with classes Tuesday and Thursday at 5:15 PM.

Do you offer Kickboxing and MMA?

Yes. We offer Kickboxing and MMA in addition to Jiu Jitsu. Beginners are welcome, and you can try them during your Free Week.

Adult membership is $85/month and Kids Jiu Jitsu is $70/month. Your first week is completely free, with no obligation to join.

Do I need a gi for my first Jiu Jitsu class?

Accepted Answer

No. If you’re trying your first class, comfortable athletic clothing is fine. A gi is required for our regular gi classes, but you don’t need to purchase one before coming in for the first time. We’ll help you with what you need after you get started.
