All of our adult Jiu Jitsu classes are beginner-friendly. You can start with whichever class fits your schedule, and our coaches will help you learn at your own pace.

Best Place to Start
Tuesday & Thursday at 6 PM are our most fundamentals-focused classes. We slow things down and spend more time building the basic positions, movements, and techniques you'll need as you begin your Jiu Jitsu journey.

Other Classes
Our other adult classes welcome beginners while giving experienced students room to continue developing their skills.

Tuesday & Thursday at 7 PM are advanced competition classes and require instructor approval.

What to Expect in Your First Class
You don't need to know anything before you walk in.
Your coach will show you what to do, introduce you to the class, and help you get comfortable on the mat. You'll learn some basic Jiu Jitsu techniques, practice with a partner, and get a feel for what training at 570 is like.

No experience required. No pressure to be perfect. Just come ready to learn.

Do I need any experience to start?
No. Our adult Jiu Jitsu classes are beginner-friendly, and you can start with no prior experience.
What should I wear to my first class?
Wear comfortable athletic clothing without zippers, buttons, or anything that could scratch a training partner. You don't need a Gi for your first class.
Will I have to spar on my first day?
No. Sparring is always at your discretion. New students typically spend their first several weeks learning the fundamentals and getting comfortable before choosing to spar.
Do I need to be in shape?
Not at all. Jiu Jitsu is a great way to improve your fitness, and you can progress at your own pace.
Which class should I start with?
Tuesday and Thursday at 6 PM are our most fundamentals-focused classes, but beginners are welcome in our other adult classes as well.
